Everyone at Na-na Atelier misses Chan, including Ha-ran. She keeps waiting for a call or a message from him. Meanwhile, Ha-ran's team works on a new project — a reinterpretation of the atelier's looks from the '70s. Ha-young suggests using sustainable materials but Tae-suk disagrees, saying the customers expect their premium fabrics. Later, Ha-ran and Mr Park lament over Chan's absence. They're joined by Park's dog, Genius, and a little boy named Dong-gu, whom Chan used to play with.

At school, Ha-dam confronts You-gyum. She found his bottle in her grandmother's study and what's more, she saw So-ra calling You-gyum's phone. You-gyum admits that he met Na-na in order to "score brownie points" with her. He also says he met So-ra but only to tell her to stop following him. Ha-dam tells him she can't accept that he lied to her and You-gyum is, in turn, upset at her suspicion.

Ha-ran hears from Tae-suk that Ben said the project might be cancelled. And she still can't reach Chan since his old phone number isn't available anymore. At home, all three Song sisters get into a fight because of their respective bad days. In the end, they go to a seaside spot to let off some steam and share their worries with each other.

Ha-young tells Ha-ran that Chan will definitely reach out soon but Ha-ran seems keen to move on. She proves it the next day when she coldly moves on to the next project, even telling Mr Park that Chan will most likely not return.

One day, she takes a day off from work, which worries Ha-young. Na-na goes to the hospital for a test that day. However, Tae-suk finds an error in one of their garments and she is forced to leave. Mr Park, who was at the hospital for his own tests, happens to see her. Since the garment error was due to Na-na's oversight (stemming from her illness), she personally makes sure it is fixed and even apologises to the factory workers who help her do so. However, when she leaves, she breaks down and cries.

That night, Ha-ran comes home late. She tells Na-na that she went to all the places on Chan's bucket list for Seoul but it didn't help her get over him. All the same, she doesn't regret getting to know him and Na-na says that's a good thing. She also says sometimes you have to let things go.

The next day, Mr Park visits Na-na and asks her about the hospital visit, but she lies. Elsewhere, Ha-ran and Rae-mee go to an exhibition by an artist named Jay Yoon. Ha-ran realises she was supposed to meet Chan at a one-table restaurant that day. When Rae-mee sees the reservation, he insists they go there. After they reach, Rae-mee suddenly takes off to see his partner. Just as Ha-ran is going inside the restaurant, a familiar voice calls out to her. It's Chan!

Ha-ran is shocked and gives him a big hug. When they sit down to eat, Chan explains that he sent her a message when his flight was taking off but it didn't reach her due to a network issue. He and his team then spent the next few days working nonstop. As a result, they saved their project! While Chan speaks to Mr Park on the phone, Ha-ran ends up falling asleep at the table. Mr Park says that Ha-ran didn't look like she was sleeping properly after Chan left.

At a fabric store, Ha-young learns that Tae-suk has asked for biosilk despite not being able to pay for it up front. She confronts Tae-suk about it and tells him he doesn't need to go so far, saying she's fine with it. Tae-suk tells her she doesn't need to keep pretending to be okay when she's not. Ha-young doesn't understand why he's saying this. A flashback shows Ha-young at her parents' funeral, telling herself that she needs to be okay to hold the family together.

An hour after Ha-ran falls asleep, the two head back out. Suddenly, Chan realises he left his suitcase at the airport and rushes back to get it. He calls Ha-ran and tells her he found it but stops short when he sees Ha-ran herself entering the airport. She tells him she had many regrets when he left and doesn't want to feel that way again. She now returns the question that he had first put to her when he came to South Korea, asking him if she can "be nice to him now." Chan is overcome with emotion and hugs her.

The Episode Review

In Your Radiant Season Episode 6 is another solid instalment in this charming series. The dramatics continue and you can expect everything to be dialled up to a hundred, even if it's only a milk packet that Chan drops on the street.

The story puts strong emphasis on those little symbols and, in the same vein, offers a few scenes that lean unrealistic; whether it is Chan not being able to contact Ha-ran for over a week or Ha-ran being so sleep deprived that she falls asleep at the restaurant. However, the series does all of this with heart. It leans into the emotions and believes them, no tongue in cheek about it. And that's why it works.

Yes, there are a few segments that run a bit long. Like the scene in which the coworkers wonder how Chan will surprise them when he returns. But on the whole, the emotions carry the weight of the drama and do it with sincerity. This episode offers new developments for all members of the Song family, and each little storyline is a compelling one on its own.

Ha-ran's approach to Chan's departure shows how much she's grown, while Ha-dam gets her first taste of heartbreak. In the midst of it all, the scene by the seaside marks a heartwarming moment for the three sisters. All in all, all the characters continue to have engaging stories and Chan's return at the end of the episode wraps it up nicely. That ending also serves as a solid midpoint for the series as a whole and we're looking forward to seeing where this goes.
