My Demon Episode 7 picks up immediately after the photo booth kiss. Gu-won explains it was only to conceal their identities from Do-gyeon, who opens the curtain, sees the “couple,” and leaves. Still flustered, Do-hee pretends the kiss meant nothing. Gu-won quickly pockets their printed photo before she can see it.
Continuing their tailing mission, they encounter the mysterious old beggar woman (referred to here as the “Arabica woman”). As usual, she speaks cryptically, warning that “something around them is flickering and bound to go out soon.” Ignoring her, they resume following Do-gyeon. Gu-won tests his powers by making a plant’s flowers bloom — they appear to work — but he fails to notice one flower withering as he walks away.
Do-gyeon returns home. Se-ra briefly questions him about therapy, but he brushes her off, saying he wants a break and doesn’t trust therapists. Meanwhile, Gu-won and Do-hee argue at home about his flickering powers, which he blames on her presence. When Bok-gyu arrives with Gu-won’s belongings, the couple refuses to compromise, and Gu-won storms out.
Da-jeong comforts Do-hee, revealing she was once married, while Bok-gyu urges Gu-won to be more considerate since Do-hee carries his tattoo. Later, Do-hee unpacks some of Gu-won’s items and is visited by Cheon-sook’s spirit. They talk warmly about love and marriage.
Seok-hoon, investigating independently, confronts Do-hee with old photos suggesting Gu-won has lived for decades and may be a vampire. Do-hee dismisses it, saying Gu-won simply resembles his great-grandfather. Seok-hoon remains unconvinced. Later, he invites Gu-won for drinks and directly asks if he is human. Gu-won denies it, but Seok-hoon threatens to keep digging until the truth emerges.
In a poignant flashback, a drunk Ga-young recalls meeting Gu-won as a child. He saved her from her abusive father by taking the man’s soul. She begged to follow him, but he refused. Determined, she eventually found him again. Gu-won rescues her once more from a street altercation and reassures her that his marriage to Do-hee is fake and temporary.
Gu-won confides in Bok-gyu about Seok-hoon’s suspicions and admits — somewhat reluctantly — that he likes having Do-hee close, even if marriage feels awkward. He remains concerned about his flickering powers and recurring dreams of the past, wondering if they are connected. Bok-gyu suggests Gu-won may be becoming human, experiencing emotions like guilt, compassion, and love. Gu-won refuses to accept this.
That night, Gwang-chol infiltrates Sunwool, steals Gu-won’s demon manual, and plants wiretaps. The next morning, Gu-won asks to sleep beside Do-hee to recharge. Despite claiming they can’t sleep, they both rest peacefully — only to wake up staring at each other until Da-jeong’s call interrupts.
A major crisis erupts: a content creator releases a video accusing Do-hee of murdering Cheon-sook for the inheritance, citing her proposal to Gu-won as proof of ruthless ambition. The rumor spreads rapidly across vloggers and news outlets. At the office, Da-jeong reports they are suing the parties involved, but the damage is spreading. Seok-hoon warns that shareholders may turn against Do-hee due to reputational harm. Gu-won suggests confronting the source directly; Seok-hoon disagrees, but Do-hee asks him to leave.
Do-hee has Gu-won teleport her to Suk-min’s location. Suk-min openly declares war, vowing she will never become chairwoman. Do-hee brings up Cheon-sook’s old warning that Suk-min is “the devil’s spawn.” Enraged, Suk-min shoots at her as she walks away (missing), sending a clear threat. Gu-won quickly returns to protect her.
They interrogate the original vlogger, who claims he was paid in Bitcoin and doesn’t know the source. Gu-won takes him to a bank vault, threatening to leave him locked inside. Terrified, the vlogger promises to cooperate. Back at Sunwool, Gu-won discovers his demon manual is missing and suspects Seok-hoon — though Do-hee defends him.
While watching Ga-young rehearse, Gu-won is distracted by a memory of a woman dancing in his past, her face always obscured. He stares at a painting in the hallway that matches the scene. Later, the mafia gang appears, pledging allegiance to Gu-won as their new leader. He accepts but tells them not to follow him.
Do-hee prepares food and cake for Gu-won, but detectives arrive and arrest her for Cheon-sook’s murder. Seok-hoon rushes to support her. Meanwhile, Gwang-chol informs his online accomplice (strongly implied to be Do-gyeon) that Gu-won is a demon. They begin plotting how to kill him. The episode ends with Gu-won being brutally stabbed by Gwang-chol during Ga-young’s performance. Bleeding heavily and calling Do-hee’s name, he collapses as she waits anxiously at the police station.
Episode Review
Episode 7 ushers in the “sad era” of My Demon, delivering heartbreak, betrayal, and escalating danger. Do-hee’s arrest for Cheon-sook’s murder is a shocking twist that dramatically raises the stakes. Suk-min’s ruthless campaign — including the smear campaign and attempted shooting — proves he is willing to destroy anyone in his path. However, his actions may backfire spectacularly once Se-ra’s involvement in Cheon-sook’s death is exposed.
Gu-won’s flickering powers, recurring memories, and growing emotions strongly suggest he is becoming more human — a development both fascinating and dangerous. His stabbing at the end leaves his fate uncertain and Do-hee more vulnerable than ever.
The Arabica woman’s warnings continue to loom large. Her references to something “flickering” and a “roulette wheel” spinning imply that critical choices and irreversible consequences are fast approaching for Gu-won and Do-hee. Her identity and true role remain one of the series’ most compelling mysteries.
With Do-hee behind bars, Gu-won gravely wounded, and Gwang-chol and Do-gyeon plotting a “monster hunt,” the tension is at an all-time high. Episode 7 masterfully blends romance, supernatural intrigue, corporate warfare, and impending tragedy — leaving viewers desperate for the next chapter.
