This review contains spoilers for Episode 10 of Our Universe.

After the emotional turbulence of Episode 9, where Tae-hyung made the painful decision to move out and distance himself from Hyun-jin and Woo-joo, Episode 10 of Our Universe settles into a quieter but no less devastating rhythm. The episode doesn't rely on dramatic confrontations or shocking revelations. Instead, it lets the silence speak—and what it says is heartbreaking.

A Natural Shift, An Unfillable Void

With Tae-hyung gone, Yun-sung naturally begins spending more time with Hyun-jin and Woo-joo. He steps up in all the ways Tae-hyung used to—helping with Woo-joo, being present, offering quiet support. Hyun-jin even teases him about being good with kids, and their interactions carry a warmth that feels organic rather than forced.

But warmth is not the same as home.

No matter how helpful Yun-sung is, Hyun-jin feels the emptiness Tae-hyung left behind. It's in the small things—the absence of his presence during meals, the silence where his voice used to be, the space beside her that remains unfilled. The episode captures this beautifully, letting Hyun-jin's expressions and quiet moments speak louder than any dialogue could. She starts realizing just how much space Tae-hyung filled in her heart, and the realization is both tender and painful.

Watching from a Distance

Meanwhile, Tae-hyung watches from afar. He sees Hyun-jin smiling at Yun-sung and growing comfortable around him, but he can't step in because he's the one who chose to leave. His decision to distance himself came from a place of love—a desperate attempt to protect them from the danger his own blood represents. But love doesn't make the pain of watching someone you care about move on any easier.

The episode doesn't show Tae-hyung spiraling or breaking down. Instead, it shows him carrying his pain quietly, alone, convinced that this is the price he must pay to keep them safe. It's a heartbreaking portrayal of self-sacrifice, and it makes you wonder: at what point does protecting someone become hurting them—and yourself—in a different way?

The Emotional Bond That Refuses to Fade

What makes Episode 10 so compelling is how it refuses to let the emotional bond between Hyun-jin and Tae-hyung fade, even with physical distance between them. Yun-sung is kind, reliable, and clearly cares—but he isn't Tae-hyung. And Hyun-jin feels that difference in ways she can't ignore.

The episode also gives Yun-sung room to grow without villainizing him or turning him into a threat. He isn't trying to replace Tae-hyung; he's simply there, offering support where it's needed. But his presence inadvertently highlights what—and who—is missing.

Final Thoughts

Episode 10 of Our Universe is a quiet, emotionally resonant chapter that proves sometimes the most powerful moments come not from what is said, but from what is left unsaid. The emptiness Tae-hyung left behind lingers in every scene, every glance, every pause. And while Yun-sung's presence offers comfort, it also serves as a reminder that some voids can't be filled by anyone else.

This drama continues to earn its emotional depth and character-driven storytelling. It's romantic, yes—but more than that, it's human. And that's exactly why it deserves every bit of praise it receives.

This drama is romantic that deserves five stars.
