Spring Fever Episode 10 Recap

Nan-hee's arrival brings chaos

In the previous episode of Spring Fever, it was already shown that Bom's mother, popular actress Nan-hee, was arriving in the town. In Episode 10, she was shown to be struggling with the GPS and was unable to find her daughter. The problem became much more serious when her car broke down. However, it was Jae-gyu who helped her and took her to his home.

It didn't take much time for Bom to appear in his home and encounter her mother there. While the mother-daughter duo ended up bickering, Nan-hee also tried to insult Jae-gyu, who didn't seem to take it much seriously. It is also shown that Yi-joon had been giving Nan-hee information about her daughter's life, as he is revealed to be the leader of her fan club.

As Nan-hee tries to know more about Jae-gyu, particularly about Yi-joon and his past, the episode gives the viewers a glimpse of Jae-gyu's past. In the flashback scene, it is hinted that Jae-gyu had an abusive father, and Yi-joon used to be his best friend who tried to help him. He shows him the money that they could use to get away from their families. However, after Jae-gyu's house catches fire and his father dies, Yi-joon discovers that his friend ran away with all of his money.

Yoon Bom opens up about her past to Jae-gyu

Even after being told to go away from the town in Episode 10 of Spring Fever, Nan-hee doesn't leave. On the other hand, she begins spying on Jae-gyu to find out more about him. However, Jae-gyu quickly discovers that someone was following him around and tries to catch her, but Nan-hee runs away. As she was almost hit by a car, Jae-gyu came at the right moment and saved her, resulting in him being hit by the car.

As everyone, including Yoon Bom, goes to check on him at the hospital, it is revealed that Jae-gyu actually did not sustain any serious injuries, shocking even the doctor. While Jae-gyu was fine, Bom was angry with the person whom Jae-gyu saved, as she did not even come to check on him and tried to call the police. That's when he revealed to her that it was her mother.

Yoon Bom then reveals that she left her home due to an incident that happened in her previous school. To save her mother's reputation, she gave up her career in Seoul. She also tells him that the colleague for whom she was asking help from Yi-joon is none other than herself. This prompts Jae-gyu to take Yoon Bom and go to Yi-joon's office.

However, the trip to Yi-joon's office brings more tragic past secrets to light. Just when Yi-joon reveals to Nan-hee that Jae-gyu is not a good person and that he is responsible for his own father's death, Bom and Jae-gyu arrive. This opens another family secret that Jae-gyu tries to talk to Bom about at the end of the episode.

More about Jae-gyu's tragic past will be revealed in the final episodes of Spring Fever next week.

Spring Fever Episode 10 Review

Episode 10 of Spring Fever masterfully weaves together two painful pasts, using the arrival of Bom’s mother as the catalyst for long-buried secrets to emerge. Nan-hee’s chaotic entrance brings both humor and tension, but the episode quickly shifts into darker, more emotional territory. The flashbacks to Jae-gyu’s abusive childhood are brief but impactful, offering crucial context for his stoic personality and fractured friendship with Yi-joon.

Bom’s decision to finally open up about the trauma that forced her to leave Seoul is a powerful moment of vulnerability, and her trust in Jae-gyu feels earned after episodes of building intimacy. However, the episode’s true strength lies in its final moments, where Yi-joon’s accusation—that Jae-gyu is responsible for his father’s death—hangs in the air like a guillotine. This revelation not only threatens Bom and Jae-gyu’s relationship but also reframes everything we know about Jae-gyu’s character. Episode 10 skillfully balances family drama, romantic tension, and mystery, setting the stage for a tense and emotional finale.
