Spring Fever Episode 6 Recap

Episode 6 of Spring Fever turns out to be the funniest and most emotionally charged episode so far, mixing romance, jealousy and chaos in the best possible way. The episode opens right where things left off, with Bom telling Jae-gyu that she cannot cross the line with him. He quietly asks if she wishes she could, and she answers no. Confused, he presses her for a reason, and Bom finally shares a small part of her past in Seoul. In a flashback, a man forces her to open her apartment door, claiming she once said she liked him. Whether she truly did is still unclear, but the memory clearly left Bom shaken.

Jae-gyu realises that Bom is afraid of being linked romantically to a student’s parent, knowing how easily her reputation could be ruined. Instead of pushing her, he makes a surprising promise. He tells her he will wait two years, until Han-gyul graduates, and only then will they be together properly. Bom does not say much, but her quiet acceptance speaks volumes.

The next morning, a few teachers stop by a café before work and spot Jae-gyu sitting with another woman. Viewers know her as the mysterious contact saved on his phone as “That Woman”, but Bom does not have that context. Seeing them together and noticing how touchy the woman is, Bom instantly assumes the worst and thinks Jae-gyu is two-timing her.

Determined to make him regret it, Bom turns up to school looking stunning. The effect is almost too powerful. Jae-gyu literally runs away the moment he sees her, unable to control his feelings. Of course, Bom misunderstands this again and believes he is avoiding her. Meanwhile, Han-gyul is dealing with his own pride. When Se-jin casually says she prefers thrillers over romance instead of answering his feelings, Han-gyul snaps and claims he does not like her since plenty of pretty girls are around. Hearing this, Jae-gyu advises his nephew to man up and tell the truth, but Han-gyul is far from ready.

Comedy strikes again when Bom’s padlock gets stuck later that evening. Jae-gyu passes by just in time, but instead of helping, he panics and runs off because he is still mesmerised by her beauty. Thankfully, Yi-joon steps in and helps her. The next day, Jae-gyu agrees to follow Yi-joon’s ridiculous rules as punishment for breaking his promise about the sports event, including calling him “honey”. Their banter adds another layer of humour.

Things escalate when Bom asks Yi-joon out for coffee, not as a date but as repayment for his help. At the café, Yi-joon realises her intentions and cleverly uses the moment to talk about his legal work with teachers. Bom secretly asks for advice by disguising her own story, but their conversation is cut short when the children claim a thief has entered her house.

Chaos erupts. Bom rushes home and finds Jae-gyu being handcuffed by the police. He escapes, spots a man on a bike and chases him, shouting that he is the thief. With Yi-joon tracking the man using a slipped phone, they catch him at the beach. Unfortunately, the “thief” turns out to be a locksmith sent by the landlord. Panicked by Jae-gyu, he ran, which landed Jae-gyu in a cell for the night.

Later, Jae-gyu learns the truth. Bom had knelt down, apologised to the locksmith, bought several locks from his shop and even arranged concert tickets through her mother just to free him. Realising how much she cared, Jae-gyu rushes to Bom. She finally admits she was hurt seeing him with another woman. Clearing the misunderstanding, Jae-gyu apologises, withdraws his waiting promise, leans in, and kisses her.

Spring Fever Episode 6 Review

What starts as a quiet, serious conversation between Bom and Jae-gyu quickly spirals into jealousy, misunderstandings and laugh-out-loud moments. The café scene alone sets the tone, as Bom spots Jae-gyu with another woman and instantly assumes betrayal, sending her into silent revenge mode. Her dramatic glow-up for school is both funny and telling, while Jae-gyu running away instead of facing her feelings adds to the episode’s charm. The show plays well with timing and reactions, letting awkward silences and panicked escapes do most of the comedy.

What truly elevates the episode is how the chaos finally leads to emotional clarity. Jae-gyu landing in jail over a locksmith misunderstanding is peak romantic comedy, but the heart of the episode lies in Bom’s quiet loyalty. Her decision to kneel, apologise and spend money just to free Jae-gyu reveals more about her feelings than any confession could. When she finally admits her jealousy and he clears the misunderstanding, the kiss feels earned rather than rushed.
